| 408. Russian Silver Personalized Ladies Opera Purse, Russian ca. 1900's
An oblong silver purse decorated with yellow and rose gold, silver and jewelled appliques over an engraved design of geometric shapes. The appliques include a tree branch, names "Fedya" and "Mitya", letter A, an intaglio bead with a cat, an anchor with a crossed heart, and a Venus and Cupid decoration. Original ruby red interior is worn. Chain handles. Hallmarks include an 84 zolotnik assayers mark and a maker's L. G. mark in Cyrillic , possibly of S. Goppè.
