1) Hague: Anthony Van Dole, ca. 1734; measures approx. 6-1/4"T x 4"W x 1"D; worn brown morocco binding with embossed decoration along the spine; five raised bands on spine; endpapers originally were marbled; 384 pages; red and black title page; text in Latin; book plates of previous owners on the inside "Lord Lilford", "Library Lilford", "The Cantley Library..." ad some pencil marks. 2) Paris: ca. 1658; measures approx. 7-1/4" x 4-1/2" x 1-1/4"; brown morocco binding with a gilt perimeter around the boards; five raised bands on the spine, gilt lettering, vignettes and decorations, however, with losses on top part; endpapers toned, originally were marbled; 573 pages; text in Latin; previous owner book plate inside. 200/300 Sold $184.00 back to catalog |
