| 794. A Partial Parlour Set
A partial parlour set, consisting of a settee and a chair, both with arms, both upholstered in a woven floral fabric and trimmed with ivory French gimp at the edges, the frames made from carved mahogany, with rounded backs and curvilinear fronts, with scroll feet and scroll arms, with pierced carved foliate patterns on the backs that surround a central shape similar to a lyre. Both are on small wooden wheels. The settee measures 50"W x 41"H x 22" seat depth, the chair measures 38"H x 27"W x 20" seat depth. ca. early 1900's. 800/1,500 Sold $230.00 back to catalog |
