A lovely 19th Century Japanese Celadon porcelain vase, of baluster shape, with two applied "handles" shaped like lion heads with rings, in a pretty pale celadon glaze with hand decorations of yellow birds on flowering branches and with Japanese calligraphy in black and in cinnabar red, with gilding to the upper lip and worn gilding on the lion heads, 16-3/4"H x 7-1/2" in diameter at the widest point. 400/600 Sold $149.50 back to catalog |
