829. A Vintage Desk and Chair by Paul McCobb

A Paul McCobb (1917-1964) designed desk, ca. 1949, made by Planner Group, Winchendon Furniture Company (est. 1939), Winchendon, Mass. and a desk chair made by the same company. The "Danish Modern" style desk is made in walnut wood, with two drawers at the left, and splayed tapering round legs at the right, with an overhang top, 48" x 24" x 29"H, with the original sticker from the manufacturer inside the top drawer. The armless desk chair also has a partial sticker from the manufacturer on the bottom and is made of walnut, with splayed tapering round legs and spindles in the curved back, 17-1/2"D x 17"W x 30"H.
