A Victorian wall shelf, made from cast bronze elements applied to a wooden shelf covered with a blue fabric, measuring 40"W x 7"D overall. The bronze pediment consisting of architectual scrollwork and foliate forms with the face of a beautiful lady at the center. The corners and lower supports have faces of fantastical bearded men with scrolling brackets. This piece was possibly part of a fireplace embellishment and was later remodeled into a shelf.

363. A Brass Chandelier and Two Matching Wall Sconces
A brass chandelier with six candles, made from two sconces, and a pair of matching brass wall sconces, each with three candles. Each candle is situatd on a gracefully scrolling arm with foliate and beaded details terminating in a rosette. The body of the fixtures consists of a ribbon bow with hanging jabots, and a small bouquet of flowers at the center. The chandelier measures 18"H x 16" in diameter x 24" long chain, with a new brass cap, the sconces measure 17-1/2"H x 11"W x 8-1/2" extension from the wall plate. These pieces came from a very old architect-designed house in Boston.

The tapering body consists of four curved sections of glass inset into the metal framework and contains a light. An interesting tankard, the body made out of an ostrich egg surrounded by an ornate pewter caging with a tapering base and a hinged lid, with a curvilinear handle decorated at the top with the figurehead of a classical lady. Overall the tankard measures 11-1/2"H to the top of the handle. This type of beer stein was made ca. 1890 in Germany. *On preview in Pittsburgh, PA.

Two Persian Kohl containers in the form of a jar with a tapering lid attached to a chain with a matching applicator at the other end of the chain.
