"Arbeit Kront". (The Crowning Glory of Work). Bronze set on a mutton fat marble base, signed in the base, also marked on the side of the base by the foundry "Akt.Ges.v.H.Gladenbeck a Sohn Berlin D486". A woman crowned with a laurel wreath holds a sprig of laurel over a seated laborer wearing a leather apron on an anvil holding a sledgehammer. Flowers adorn the side of the anvil. Overall the sculpture measures approx. 20"H x 10" x 7". The marble base is 1-3/4"H. 3,000/5,000 Sold $1,610.00 back to catalog |
