| 214. Another Set of Six Russian Enamel Spoons, Moscow, ca. 1890
A set of six Russian enameled silver spoons in a similar but not identical design as in the previous lot, note the difference in colors of enamel on handles and dotted turquoise design around the bowl. Gilt wash bowls. The twisted handles have two bands of enamel decorations above the bowl, terminating with crown finials. Each spoon is hallmarked with silversmith's initials "GK" and with a Moscow assayer mark dating the pieces to 1890, assayer possibly Lev Fedorovich Oleks. Hallmarks on two of the spoons are slightly different, but essentially carry the same information. Each spoon measures approx. 5"L. Approx. 4.86 troy oz. 500/1,000 Sold $718.75 back to catalog |
