213. A Superb Set of Six Russian Enamel Spoons by Gustav Klingert, Moscow, ca. 1889

A set of Imperial Russian enameled silver spoons in a traditional floral and bird Pan-Slavic pattern in striking enamels on a gilt stippled field. Gilt wash bowls. The twisted handles have two bands of enamel decorations above the bowl, terminating with crown finials. Each spoon is hallmarked "GK" and with a Moscow assayer mark dating the pieces to 1889, assayer possibly AnatoliƬ Apollonovich Artsibashev. Each spoon measures approx. 5"L. Approx. 4.86 troy oz.
