| 74. Albert Pels (American, 1910-1998)
"Venice and Adonis". Oil on canvas over masonite board, signed in the lower right corner, framed, 12" x 16", with new simple gilt frame overall 13-1/2" x 17-1/2". Titled on the reverse of the masonite board. Albert Pels was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He studied at the Cincinnati Academy of Art and the University of Cincinnati. While in New York, Pels studied with with Thomas Hart Benton at the Art Students League.
