674. A Group of Four Sterling Silver and Gold Brooches

The lot includes: a large circular pin depicting a boy in a sombrero sitting beside a cactus, back marked "Truart/ Sterling", ca. 1940's, measures approx. 2-1/4"D; a sterling silver, yellow and pink gold mixed metal brooch dated 1889, Birmingham, features flowers and a bird in the center, surrounded with pink gold and etched decorations accented with stylized flowers, hallmarks on verso feature an anchor, fancy letter P, and a lion passant, as well as makers initials "WCM", measures approx. 1-1/4"D; a squash blossom Spratling silver brooch, ca. 1940's, marked "Spratling/ Made in Mexico / Spratling silver", measures approx. 1-3/8"D; an Arts & Crafts circular pin with two ram heads facing each other on top of the pin, unidentified hallmarks, possibly Scottish, measures approx. 1"D.
