A Herend Porcelain chess set, consisting of two 3-1/2H king pieces, two 3-1/2"H queen pieces, four 2-3/4" knight pieces, four 3-1/4" rook pieces, four 3"H bishop pieces and sixteen 2-1/8" pawn pieces. Each piece is marked on the underside. Half of the pieces are glazed with royal blue and black clothing, life-like skin coloring on the faces and some red and gilt and other accents. The other half of the pieces are glazed in white with an outlining of light blue around the edges.
