Image measures approx. 14" x 17"; framed overall approx. 23-1/2" x 27-1/2". John Hare specialized in watercolor painting, he is mostly associated with New England harbor scenes and landscapes. Hare received his training in commercial art in Brooklyn at the Pratt Institute and also studied at the Art Students League in Manhattan. His work is in the collections of the Lowe Art Museum and the Lightner Museum in Florida, and the Smith College Museum of Art in Massachusetts.
