8. Attr: Samuel Shelley (British, 1750-1808)

Nymphs Feeding Pegasus. Oil on celluloid, no signature found, unevenly trimmed to approx. 6-1/2" x 5-3/4", framed in a gilt frame with a linen liner, overall approx. 10" x 9-1/8". The picture has an older paper backing in the frame which has been glued to a newer paper support, inscribed in ink with the title and "Design'd and painted by Sam: Shelley. No.6 Great George Street, Hanover Square". There is also a nameplate affixed to the front of the frame. From a Gates Mills Ohio estate.
