| 367. A Pewter And Ostrich Egg Tankard, ca. Late 19th/Early 20th Century
An interesting tankard, the body made out of an ostrich egg surrounded by an ornate pewter caging with a tapering base and a hinged lid, with a curvilinear handle decorated at the top with the figurehead of a classical lady. Overall the tankard measures 11-1/2"H to the top of the handle. This type of beer stein was made ca. 1890 in Germany. *On preview in Pittsburgh, PA. 150/300 Sold $247.25 back to catalog |
