806. A Chinese Carved Teak Architectural Archway
A Chinese carved teak architectural archway, in two sections, in a rich polished brown teak wood, in a rectangular framework with a curving arched opening. Within the framework is a naturalistic openwork representation of cherry blossom branches with leaves and blooms. Overall the archway measures approx. 7'-11"H x 6'-5"W. The two parts fit together with wooden dowels.

807. A Handsome Pair of Square Back Armchairs
A handsome pair of French-style square back armchairs, painted white and antiqued in the Gustavian manner, the outswept arms curve down from the back and slope toward the legs. The legs are slightly turned and tapering and are decorated with carved fluting and a rosette at the top. The other carved embellishments include a twisting ribbon motif and a cluster of roses at the top of the back. The front, back, seat and armpads are upholstered in a beautiful taupe damask fabric and edged with matching French braid. These chairs are ca. 20th Century. Apprx 38"T x 23"W x 21"D.
