Painting on ivory, unsigned nor dated. (From the same collection offered in the previous sale.) A finely executed portrait of a pretty woman with blue eyes, set into unmarked rose gold case with large finial bail. The tiny curls in hair are finely executed as well as the lace and texture of her jewels. Obviously a young woman of wealth and grace. Verso has a small oval window with a braided hair momento. Overall approx. 3" x 2-1/2".

Watercolor on ivory, oval portrait miniature, dated 1814 and initialed illegibly lower right. An exceptionally well painted portrait of a young man, framed under a convex glass. The background is a textured brown to blue, graduated from darker at the bottom to lighter at the top. Set into unmarked rose gold case with fancy bail. Verso of case is convex, with an oval window displaying a hair momento. Approx. 3" x 2-1/4".

Painting on ivory, unsigned nor dated. Very well rendered image of a wealthy and dapper man in a suit and tie with shirt pin. Set into a brass frame with hair window on the verso (missing the hair) and small link chain attached to bail. Overall it measures approx. 2-3/4" x 2-1/4".

An oval portrait miniature of an unidentified lady. She wears revealing clothes and a beautiful pearl necklace and a direct expression; her hair runs provocatively over her shoulders. Oil on ivory or cellulose, under glass. In a brass frame with an X pattern. Sticker on the yellow silk verso reads "Friedrich Heinrich Füger, 1751-1818, German". Overall the piece measures approx. 3" x 2-1/2".

Born in Tennessee, Fulkerson moved to California and for most of her life was known as a California landscape painter.

A pair of portraits. Oil on wood panels of a man and of a woman in 18th Century garb, the woman signed on the lower right corner and the man signed on the lower left corner, each is framed, approx. 8-5/8" x 6-1/2" panel size, with frames overall approx. 12-1/4" x 10". Each is stamped "Made In France" on the back of the frame and on the back of the panel as well. The pretty lady is in a frilly pink gown and carries a mask as from a grand ball. The man is smoking a long-stem clay pipe and wears a frock coat with a red vest.
