Carved from Sago palm wood, deep bowl has incised banding on girth and at rim with raised ornamentation. Bowl edge has "arrow" incised decorations. Approx. 7"T x 13-3/4"D.

A 19th Century Italian Faience tile, possibly a Grand Tour piece, with a portrait of a woman in a feathered hat, inspired by Rembrandt's portraits of Saskia, painted in glazes. The tile measures approx. 15-1/2" x 11-1/4" x 1/2" thick, and with the frame overall approx. 22-1/2" x 18-1/2".

Round stout shape box with a removable lid. The lid is embellished with a finely painted enamel portrait medallion depicting a Russian merchant's wife, wearing a kokoshnikk and traditional attire. Overall pan-slavic cloisonné enamel design in royal blue, dark turquoise, burnt orange, black, white and green. Bottom of the box is monogrammed "MLV" in script, gift engraving "From M.A.B. June 24, 1888". Assayer mark of Viktor Savinkov (Postinikova-Loseva # 2112), maker's mark "JFA" (lat.), stamped "Made for Tiffany & Co." Measures approx. 1-1/8"T x 2-1/4"D.

Octagonal tortoise shell tea caddy has a small metal, possibly pewter, spring clasp. This box has a hinged lid. Inside the tea caddy is a second lid with an ivory handle. Tea caddy measures approx. 2-3/4" H x 3" W. This piece was originally purchased from a private collection in England.

An attractive table-top cigarette box, with burlwood veneer, ivory or bone stringing and an oval carved pierced medallion inset into the center of the top depicting three girls dancing, backed by brown velvet. The interior lid of the box is covered with brown silk moiree, lightly padded. The base of the box contains an aparatus of extending brown tooled leather platforms to contain and serve the cigarettes. The box has a locking mechanism, but lacks the key. The box measures, 8-3/8" x 4-7/8" x 3".

A pair of elegant antique candleabra with a dark color cold painted bronze putto standing on a white marble fluted column base as the body, set up on four turned bronze feet and with beaded metal details. Above each putto is a four-arm foliate design candleholder with a central matching candle cup in which a basket of flowers is inserted. Overall each piece measures approx. 21-1/2"H.

Extensive ornamentation and details such as caryatids, paws, snakes, masks and other elements add interest to this elaborate pair of tall bronze candelabra. Each fitted for four candles. No maker's marks found, probably French. ("Made In France" is incised on the underside.) Overall they measure approx. 20-1/2"T.

A lovely small pair of two-arm bronze candleabra with beautiful high-relief decorations, each on four turned feet, with a wide fluted column base and upward scrolling foliate parts, two candle arms each and terminating at a pretty foliate finial. Each candleabra measures approx. 10-3/4"H x 7"W x 2-1/2"D. Stamped "T" on the bottom of each foot.
