2. Portland: J. Johnson, 1812. First American edition from the London edition of 1721. A book of difficult and obscure words and terms of the common and statute laws of England. Full leather-front board almost detached. Ink inscription, pencil markings and previous owners stamp. Tooled cover and red leather label on spine. Interior toned and stained, probably water damage. Poor.
