446. Chinese Kang-hsi Period Blue & White Ginger Jar With Jade Top, ca. Late 17th/Early 18th Century

Silky porcelain ginger jar decorated in a rare blue and white pattern depicting an outdoor scene with people engaged in various activities. The jar has an intricately carved wooden lid with a mutton fat jade insert with a pierced carved design of a man riding the kylin. Overall with the lid this jar measures approx. 9"T x 7-1/2"D, and comes with a carved wooden stand.
