| 108. Sergey Buzatu (Russian, Contemporary)
"The Horsewoman". Oil on masonite, signed with all information in Cyrillic on verso. In a gilt wood frame, with canvas mat lining. Panel measures approx. 14" x 16". Sergey Bulatu was born in 1957, in the town of Semipalatinsk, Kazahstan. From 1977 to 1982 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia, which is also where he held his first exhibition in 1978. In 1989 he participated in the non-formal arts exhibition in Kishenev, Moldavia. In late 80's and early 90's Buzatu worked as a freelance artist throughout western Europe. In the late 90's Sergey Buzatu was painting icons at the Mercy of St. Vincent Monastery, Ukraine. From 1999 to 2003 Buzatu completed the commissions from the Ukrainian government officials. 500/700 Sold $546.25 back to catalog |
