A charming early 20th Century American needlepoint "sampler", framed in a burlwood veneered frame under glass, approx. 23-3/4" x 23-3/4" sight size, with framing overall approx. 25-1/2" x 25-1/2". The needlepoint is stitched in a darker brown background which helps silhouette the images worked into the design in beige, greens, yellows, reds, blues and lavender. The images are religious symbols intersperced with whimsical and very decorative figures, flowers, and bugs.
