A Tiffany & Co. Scarab brooch, with the scarab cast in dark blue opalescent glass, set in a sterling silver brooch mounting, approx. 1-1/2" x 1-1/8" overall, marked on the underside "Tiffany & Co." and "Sterling".
Designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany at the turn of the 20th Century. The favrille glass beetle was featured in the Tiffany & Co. bluebook catalog of 1911. The pin mountings were made later.
