480. Heinrich Levinger Plique à Jour Stickpin, ca. 1900

A plique a jour stickpin made by Heinrich Levinger, Germany, possibly designed by Ulrich von Hase, ca. 1900. The pin measures approx. 4-1/4"L x 1-1/2"W at the widest point. It is made of silver, marked with the Levinger insignia and marked depose (registered) 900 (silver) on the back, indicating that it was made before 1915. The plique a jour enameling grades from a dark leaf-green to a lime green color at the end, and is set with two oval cabochon opals.
