Ivory carving of a Fukurokuju, the god of wisdom, wealth, and longevity, depicted in a traditional manner with an unusually high forehead, a smile, holding a post with flowers in his left hand, and a basket with flowers and tassels in his left. The carving is adhered to a carved wood pedestal. Overall without the pedestal measures approx. 12"T.
