| 287. A Pair of Art Deco Mantel Lamps in Clear Glass and Gilt Metals
A pair of marvelous Art Deco mantel lamps, with the rectangular base made of a silver-gilt metal situated on four turned feet, with a gallery on top with a cast clear glass prancing horse inset into it. Behind each horse is a turular brass representation of a tree with silver gilt turned tips containing clear cast glass palm fronds. Each base is electrified with a small bulb inside the base shining light up through a milky glass panel and refracting through the glass ornamentation above. No maker's markings were found. The lamps measure approx. 17-3/4"H x 6"W x 4-3/8"D. 800/1,200 back to catalog |
