A lot of Georg Jensen flatware, consisting of three sterling silver luncheon forks and three luncheon knives with sterling silver handles and stainless steel blades, each marked with the Jensen insignia and "Sterling Denmark", the forks measuring approx. 6-3/4"L and the knives measuring approx. 8-1/4"L. The pieces come with a green flannel roll-up sleeve. The pattern is probably "Parallel" with no relief detailing, ca. 1931, designed by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen for Georg Jensen.

A sterling silver cigarette case, with an overall incised design on the outside with flowers and flourishes, with the inside in a plain polished finish, and a brace which is decorated with an incised repeating Deco design similar to the design used around the edges of the outside and framing the front and back faces. The case is hallmarked on the inside corner of the lid. It measures approx. 5-1/2" x 3-1/4" x 1/4" thick. Weighs approx. 6.10 troy oz.

A sterling silver purse, ca. 1930's, with a hand made chain, and fitted on the interior with camel color kid leather compartments and an small mirror. The purse is marked "Sterling" on the inside of the lip. The exterior of the purse measures approx. 6-1/8"W x 3"H x 5/8" thick. The entire exterior of the purse is decorated with incised designs, with a scrolling border surrounding a ribbed flame pattern. One side has a monogram encased in a circle at the upper left corner. Weighs 6.13 troy oz.

An engraved and enameled silver metal card case, probably Victorian, with a hinged lid, measuring approx. 3-3/4" x 2-3/8" x 5/16", with most of the surface embellished with engraved designs accented with areas of enamels in blue, green, copper, black and white. One side has a medallion shape with the name "Nathalie" engraved in the center and the other has an image of many instruments and leaves above sheet music in the center.

A lot of two cigarette boxes, the first a sterling silver Napier cigarette case, 4-1/2" x 3-1/8" x 1/4", with the top etched in a plaid pattern with the initials R.W.B in the center, the second a plain unmarked silver-tone case, 2-3/8" x 2-3/4" x 5/8". The case marked sterling weighs approx. 4.57 troy oz.

612. A Reed and Barton Silver Plated Ice Water Server


A Reed and Barton silver plated ice water server with two cups. The large kettle with a porcelain liner for insulation is suspended from a stand with a handle. On either side of the handle are platforms holding chalices. The platform is in a square shape set up on legs that has a pull-out drawer with a circular extension to catch water. The style of the piece is Aesthetic Movement with a great number of cast and relief details over the entire piece. The decoration on the front of the container and on the chalices is in the image of an ice formation. The name "Hall" is engraved on the pot and "H" on each chalice. Overall the piece measures approx. 21"H x 15"W x 12-1/2"D.

A fancy ice water server in silver plate made by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co., ca. 19th C. The coffee pot shaped vessel with a porcelain insulator insert, hinged lid measuring approx. 14"H x 6" in diameter suspends from an arched frame on a pierce-worked base, overall approx. 23"H. The pot is embellished with relief designs in a late-Victorian/Aesthetic Movement manner with applied birds on the handles and sea creatures and dragon flies on the sides. The armature from which the pot is suspended has similar embellishments with birds and Aesthetic Movement designs. The front of the lid of the pot, has an inscription "Presented to Mr. & Mrs. J. Schneider by Employees of Buckeye Company April 4th." There are two platforms on the base which once held crystal glasses.

An elegant desk top silver plated inkwell set, measuring approx. 13"W x 8-1/4"D, with a rococo styling. The platform/tray is basically rectangular, with flowing foliate forms in relief at the edges, sitting on four scrolled feet. The top is imbellished with incised floral designs as well and has locations for three vessels down the center. In the middle is an elaborate form that is surmounted by a floriform removable candle holder with a ring handle. On either side are cut crystal inkwells with silver plated hinged lids; one has a metal collar at the base and the other has lost this part.

Two sterling silver thimble cases, each in a circular shape with a hinged lid, with the pierced relief surfaces covering most of the body. The first has a name engraved in a cartouche on the top and is marked on the underside, measuring approx. 1" in diameter x 1-1/8"H. The second has a circular bezel-set purple cabochon in the center of the top and measures approx. 1-1/4"H x 1" in diameter. This one is marked on the hinge and has a small bale to attach it to something else. The total weight of the two is approx. .78 troy oz. (+-)

A lot of three silver serving pieces, consisting of a bottle opener with a hollow sterling silver handle encrusted in a floral motif, measuring 6-1/2"L, with the handle marked "sterling", second a tomato server with a gold washed bowl, and with the asymmetrically designed handle with a rococo cartouche and a rose, with hallmarks on the back of the neck, measuring approx. 7-1/2"L, and a very ornately detailed sifter spoon with a hollow cast silver handle in a ruffled Victorian motif with an engraved initial, and the pierced bowl in gold metal with a pretty swirled shape, measuring approx. 8"L, with no marks found, possibly a "married" piece.

A collection of eight miniature sterling silver boxes, consisting of a 1" in diameter with a green guilloche enamel lid with pink and blue flowers at the center and gold washed interior, a 1-1/8" in diameter simple box with gold washed interior, the exterior embellished with concentric circles, a plain oval box, 1-1/4" x 7/8", a 3/4" square box with lightly incised foliate designs on the top, an 1-1/2" diameter box with incised designs and initials on the lid and with a gold washed interior and a bale near the hinge, an oval with an applied decoration to the lid including beads of silver, leaf shapes in silver and gold metal, and a central yellow faceted stone set in a bezel. (This box also has as bale at one end.) Next is a stamp box with the word stamps in scrolling letters on the lid, 1-1/2" x 1", with a ring to hang, and finally another stamp box, 1-1/4" x 1", with the front and back decorated with a geometric design with an Oriental influence. (This box also has a bale on one side.) the total weight of the collection is approx. 2.7 troy oz.
