887. A Pair Of Sevres Ewers With Bronze Mountings
A lovely pair of Sevres hand painted porcelain ewers with gilt bronze mountings, each on a pedestal base, with a dragon applied to one side of the porcelain and a lion's head to the other, the top, handle and spout in an elaborate foliate relief. The porcelain is painted in a bleu celeste ground with gilt floral medallions on either side containing hand painted pictures of birds and romantic still life settings, no two alike. The ewers measure approx. 11-5/8"H to the top of the handle.

888. Sarah Bernhardt Art Nouveau Planter
Sarah Bernhardt planter is made from unglazed porcelain with green glazed handles. Thistle design on front and back of planter has been gilded however much of the gilt has been rubbed away. The face of the famous actress Sarah Bernhardt is located across the handle of this planter. Signed A.M. Peche in lower left corner. Verso stamped "Ceramique, P. 827".

889. A Meissen Figurine of a Cupid
A delightful Meissen figurine of a winged Cupid, bending over a pink heart shape encircled with a rose bush with one blossom, on a circular mound base atop a marbilized column base, with the Meissen mark in blue under the glaze of the underside. Overall the figurine measures 6-1/4"H and the base measures 4-1/8" in diameter. The figurine is hand glazed in lifelike polychrome with gilt accenting.

890. An Extensive Porcelain Figural Group
An extensive porcelain figural group, with two figures playing stringed instruments, a lady dancing, and a man and a woman as audience. The grouping sits on it's own porcelain base, the sides decorated with gilt detailed relief, the floor decorated with tiles and a vividly colored area rug. The figures are all in fancy costumes hand glazed in colors and gilt. There is a piece of furniture at the back of the grouping to which an ornately framed mirror is attached by two bolts. The maker's insignia is in cobalt blue underglaze on the tile floor and is somewhat blurred, but is possibly that of Volkstedt. Overall the grouping measures approx. 21"W x 14-3/4"D x 13-1/2"H.

891. A Pair of Hand Painted Royal Worcester Vases
A pair of hand painted Royal Worcester porcelain vases, measuring approx. 9"H x 3-1/2" in diameter at the widest point, with the sides beautifully hand painted with scenes of highland cattle, with scrolled feet glazed in light green and gilt, and with a pierced 3/4" high collar glazed in light green and gilt. Both are marked on the bottom in an under glaze mark, one with 17 dots, the other with 19. A married pair. Both are signed by the artist, "H. Stinton".

An Empire glazed porcelain urn, ca. 1880, measuring approx. 7"H x 5-3/8" in diameter at the widest point, with two handles supported by ram's heads in relief, with a gilt finish on a good deal of the body, and with hand painted scenes on either side, one a landscape and one a courtly couple seated in a window.

893. A Large Staffordshire Cat. ca. 19th Century
A rare Staffordshire figure of a cat in black and white glazes with a gilt ribbon and bow. It has applied yellow glass eyes which are speckled with green for a life-like look. The piece is heavy, with a hole in back from the mold. The bottom also with a hole, and unmarked or unsigned, and measuring approx. 13-1/4"T. This is an estate item, descended within the family for three generations.

894. An Amphora Co. Vase, Teplitz, Austria
An Amphora Co. vase, made in a highly glossy glaze with gilt accents. The vase measures approx. 16-5/8"H and has impressed numbers under the glaze on the underside 6 and 463. The upper portion is pictorially decorated with an evening scene of a silhouetted forest of trees with the setting sun in gilt shining through. The colors of the glazes are cobalt blue over sage green with flecks of gold scattered throughout. The lower portion is decorated in a floral motif with insects fluttering between the blossoms, in the same colors, and with the gilt forming a raised relief outline. The foot and the upper lip are gilt glazed as well.

A Keramis glazed ceramic vase designed by Charles Catteau, measuring approx. 12-3/8"H x 8" in diameter at the widest point, with stylized vividly colored designs on the outside depicting four deer with geometric patterns above and below. The background is glazed in a crackle pattern ivory color and the deer and other patterns are glazed in a rich royal blue, turquoise, light blue and black. The glazes are applied so as to represent a low relief and a handmade texture. Bottom stamped and impressed "909".

A hand painted ceramic desert set in the "Farmhouse" pattern by Clarice Cliff, each piece marked on the bottom "Fantqastique" Hand Painted Bizarre by Clarice Cliff...Newport Pottery...England" and also stamped "Registratin Applied For". The set consists of a small serving dish, 9-1/2" x 11", six teacups, 3-5/8" x 2-3/8", six 5-3/4" diameter saucers and six 8" diameter desert plates. Each cream color ceramic piece is hand decorated in yellow, orange, red, black and emerald green, with the cups, serving plate and desert plates embellished with a charming stylized scene with a country cottage and trees.

A group of 46 pieces of Royal Crown Derby "Old Imari" porcelain, including eight 10-5/8" diameter dinner plates, eight 8-1/2" salad/desert plates, eight teacups and eight 5-7/8" diameter saucers, seven 6-1/4" diameter bread and butter plates, one small fluted dish 4-1/2" in diameter, one covered container 3" in diameter x 3-7/8"H, one cake knife with a stainless steel blade, one pair of candlesticks, approx. 10-1/2"H with brass inserts at the top, and two compotes on pedestals, approx. 12" in diameter x 4"H. Each piece is marked on the underside with the ca. 1964-1975 insignia. Five padded vinyl storage cases are included with the lot.

Hand painted porcelain plaque depicting Jesus Christ wearing the crown of thorns. In a gilt wood frame with oak leaves and acorns motif. Verso of the plaque bears a stamped number "318", the original sticker, and some pencil marks "#1200 3in." The plaque measures approx. 4-3/4" x 3-1/2." framed overall 10" x 9".

A beautifully decorated cabinet plate, approx. 11" in diameter, with an irregular lip, small foot, with a crown mark impressed in the center of the underside, and with the name "Floral Vase" in blue, surrounded by a cartouche of roses on the underside of the lip. The front is decorated with oriental motifs in a predominantly cobalt blue with accents in cinnabar and green.

A Capodimonte trivet table, measuring approx. 23"H, with a circular top, approx. 13" in diameter on a three-legged pedestal base, approx. 11" at the widest point. The entire surface of the porcelain covered in relief decorations that include putti, mermaids, flowers and scrolling Italianate motifs, all hand decorated in polychrome glazes with gilt accents, made in three pieces bolted together, the underside marked with the 20th C. Capodimonte insignia and hand numbered in gilt "1535/369 Italy.
