Reticulated wooden cricket cage is of a cylinder shape with a removable slightly domed lid. The overall design of the cage is a meandering flower and foliage motif. Measures approx. 4"T x 2"D.

840. A Scrimshaw Tibetan Eating Set


A scrimshaw decorated Tibetan eating set, in the form of a knife in an elaborately embellished sheath, also containing a set of bone chopsticks and a pair of bone toothpicks. Overall the piece measures approx. 14"L. The sheath is made from bone fitted together with forged brass strips and copper nails. There is a small ring for hanging at the top end. The body is covered with intricate flowing images of dragons, and the bone knife handle is also done in scrimshaw with the image of a bat and two circular designs. The toothpicks cleverly slide into the middle portion of the sheath.
