815. A Molded Porcelain Snuff Bottle
A molded porcelain snuff bottle, approx. 3"H, with a shaped exterior in a deep relief with scenes of many people and water waves over most of the surface decorated in polychrome glazes. The small foot and the neck of the bottle is glazed aqua and the top rim in gilt. The lid is a disc of mother of pearl with a beautifully carved half-round of coral on top. There is the remnant of the cork on the underside, but the spoon is missing.

First bottle is of double-gourd shape decorated in blue glazes with peaches on a branch, jade stopper with an attached spoon, measures 3"T x 1-3/4"W; second bottle is of flattened squat ovoid shape, decorated with figures in red and black pigments, with a marble stopper, measures approx. 2"T x 2"W. Both signed on bottom.

The first bottle is of flattened ovoid shape, depicting a mountainous landscape, signed in red pigment within the decoration, with a domed stopper with an attached lid, measuring approx. 3"T x 2"W x 3/4"L; the second bottle is of a similar shape and depicts children at play, also signed in black and red pigments, measuring approx. 3"T x 1-3/4"W x 3/4"L; the third bottle is of similar flattened ovoid shape, both sides depicting landscape decorations, with the stopper repaired, measuring approx. 2-3/4"T x 1-3/4"W1"L.

A lot of two snuff bottles, consisting of a bottle made in a plain polished shape in Tigers Eye, with a green half-round lid of aventurine quartz with its cork and spoon (a replacement), approx. 2-5/8"H, and a reverse painted glass snuff bottle with red details and a cinnabar lacquer top with its cork and spoon, measuring approx. 3"H, with "China" incised in the underside.

A Famille Verte water pot in a circular shape, approx. 5" in diameter at the widest point x 4"H. The body with incised floral designs under a clear emerald green glaze, with applied figures of a bat and a dragon facing off at the rim. The figures are glazed in a charcoal brown and pale yellow color. No maker's marks found.
