Stuttgard: Belser Verlag, 1984. First edition of the exact facsimile of the "OFFIZIUM DER MADONNA VAT. LAT. 3781" a 15th century manuscript 2 Vols. First, a cloth hardcover volume with commentary (in German), second is a facsimile, in fine leather binding with gilt tooling, raised bands on spine, gilt paper edges. Bookbinder: Werner Muller, Stuttgart; paper: Papierfabrik Scheufelen, Lenningen; reproduction by Grafisches Atelier Gerd Preiss, Gerlingen. Stored in a brown cloth fitted shell. Overall measures approx. 9" x 6" x 2-1/2." Fine, never read condition.

Cyrano De Bergerac a Heroic Comedy in 5 Acts by Edmond Rostand in a New English Version by Louis Untermeyer with Illustrations Drawn by Pierre Brissaud. London: Nonesuch Press, no date (1926?). "Brokenbrow." A tragedy. Translated by Vera Mendel, with drawings by Georg Grosz. 50pp. 6 full-page illus. by Grosz. 4to. Printed on laid paper; illustrations printed by the Curwen Press. Fine leather contemporary "distressed" leather binding, gilt lettering on spine. In a custom made black cloth shell with black felt lining. Both in near fine condition. Box 8.

North France, Picardie? Then to Sion Abbey in Switzeland by 1390. Ex-sale of Foyle Collection, Christie's, 2000. [3 Leaves] Joshua - pages 83, 84, 85 - Joshua Chapt 16-23. With marginal notes in a light grey silverpoint in a 14th century hand added doubtlessly at Sion Abbey after 1390. Also with a few brown guide letters in the margins opposite the chapter openings to assist the scriber. [1 Leaf] Joshua - chapters 11, 12, 13. With minute 13th century marginal notes at top running title. [1 Leaf] Judges - chapters 4, 5, 6. With a dark brown letter "F" in the margin opposite the opening of chapter 6. This guide letter was part of the ins. layout and was to aid the scribe in his work. Also with 4 lines of silverpoint inscription 14th century added by a reader of the book had entered the Sion Abbey library in Switzerland in 1390. Chinese cabinet, second shelf.

An excerpt from The New Testament in Coptic. With marginal and interlinear commentary in Arabic. In black and red pigments. On paper. Middle European, ca. 17th Century. The coptic script is modeled on a much earlier exemplar, possibly 11-15th c. Chinese cabinet, second shelf.

Rare and scarce. Very early wood engraving after a sketch by whostler from "Good Words" edited by Norman MacLeod DD. Very Early and rare ephemeral Whistler item, pre 1859. There is a white line through the mid right half of the plate. This is from a break in the wood engraved block that developed during printing [?] Chinese cabinet, second shelf.
