Wool fabric with sewn figures, two men with a line of ducks at bottom and four at top. Upper edge sewn, bottom with fringe. Apprx 12" x 19". The Paracas culture was a Pre-Inca society between approximately 750 BCE and 100 CE that developed in the Paracas Peninsula, located in what today is the Paracas District of the Pisco Province in the Ica Region, Peru. Provenance: Ex-collection of Doris Cameron (d. 2006) of Fresno CA. This item entered her collection of Peruvian History prior to 1990 and had been shown and vetted by several museum curators between 1988-98. Chinese cabinet, top shelf.

Late intermediate period, or Cuismancu, central coast. This culture's textiles are finely woven. Painted and stenciled cloth with "Devil" figure in center, flanked by cats, Three colors on woven cloth. Edged, left edge with fringe. 25" x 51". Provenance: Ex-collection of Doris Cameron (d. 2006) of Fresno CA. 15. A Zuni Pottery "Fetish" Bowl


A rare Zuni "fetish" pottery bowl, with four raised square decorations along the rim, which is highlighted in brown pigment. Interior and exterior decorated with tadpole shaped. This bowl was originally purchased in 1937 by June Davis. Overall it measures approx. 3-1/4"T x 7"D.
