Shirley Clement, a Florida artist, became a member of the American Watercolor Society in 1953. She is related to Henri Matisse on her mother's side of the family. This painting was purchased from the artist in Sarasota, Florida, the winter home of the famed Ringling Brothers Circus, "The Greatest Show on Earth".
