A gilt bronze relief plaque cast by the Gorham Co. Founders, measuring approx. 8-1/8"H x 6-1/2"W x 3/4"D plus a triangular support on the back. The bas relief depicts four nude figures; three men and one woman within a rounded top corner plaque on a plinth base, free-standing on a triangular leg. The Gorham Co. Founders and marks are one one side of the base and the artist's initials are cast into the opposite side of the base, "C/ALADD". (Possibly Anna Coleman Ladd)
This piece is marked "QAVY". This indicated that the piece was cast on behalf of the artist who hired the foundry for that service, rather than it having been designed by an employee or contract artist for retail.
