154. Evgeny Malyh (Russian, born 1956)

"Summer, Pavlov Park." 2004. Oil on canvas, signed lower right in black pigment. Image size approx. 16" x 20", in a gilt wood frame approx. 25-3/4" x 29-3/4".

Evgeny Malyh was born on February 23rd, 1956 in Sverdlovskaya region of Russia. In 1975 he graduated from the I.D. Shadra Fine Arts college in Ekatirengurg. Fromo 1981 to 1987 he studied and graduated from Repin Institute of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad). His graduation work, a monumental mural "Struggle for Peace", was nominated for the gold medal of Fine Arts Academy in St. Petersburg. From 1987 to 1991 he worked at the State Pedagogical Institute as a teacher of drawing art. Currently Malyh is a Professor of drawing arts at the St. Petersburg Repin Fine Arts Academy. His exhibited in Germany, Norway and USA. Malyh participates in annual exhibitions of works by professors of Repin Fine Arts Academy, held in museum of the Academy.
