| 53. Unknown Artist (Continental School, ca. Early 20th Century)
Three "Stations of the Cross" panels, painted on copper, in the Arts and Crafts style, one initialed "T.H. B. '14", each panel measuring approx. 38" x 28", and with the framing overall approx. 41" x 31". The subjects are; Station I: Jesus is Condemned to Death, Station IV: Jesus Meets His Blessed Mother, and Station XI: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross. Each is painting with a very decorative foliate design for the background, and each has gilt applied to the halos. 400/600 Sold $586.50 back to catalog |
