860. Daum Four Seasons Plates, C. 1970

Emerald green "pate de verre" glass plate features a nymph frolicking with a cherub and a ram. Dated 1970 and signed Daum, ed. This plate has been designed by Raymond Corbin, and is signed Corbin, SC. Entitled "Printemps" (spring) this plate is part of the Four Seasons series. Diameter measures apprx 10-1/2" and is numbered 1086/2000. Royal blue "pate de verre" glass plate features a cloaked figure protecting a young child from a chilly gust of wind. Designed by Raymond Corbin and signed "Corbin, SC" and dated 1970. Entitled "Hiver" (winter) this plate is part of the Four Seasons series. Diameter measures apprx 10-1/2" and is numbered 1086/2000. Amber colored "pate de verre" plate features two nudes basking in the summer sun. Dated 1970 and signed Daum, ed. This plate has been designed by Raymond Corbin, and is signed Corbin, SC. Entitled "Ete" (summer) this plate is part of the Four Seasons series. Diameter measures apprx 10-1/2" and is numbered 1086/2000. Amythest "pate de verre" glass plate features a draped nude looking down at a small cherub carrying a basket of apples. Dated 1969 and signed Daum, ed. This plate has been designed by Raymond Corbin, and is signed Corbin, SC. Entitled "L'Automne" (autumn) this plate is part of the Four Seasons series. Diameter measures apprx 10-1/2" and is numbered 1086/2000. Pate deVerre is a rare and very old crystal making tecnique first used around 3500 bc. Daum reintroduced this technique in 1905. Set of 4 plates using graceful nude women to illustrate the four seasons. Signed by artist, Corbin. ca. 1970 in their original boxes with information.
