Fifth edition to which is added a supplement compiled from the journals of the Panther and Endeaver, two vessels sent by the East India company t o those islands in 1890 (compiled by J.P. Hockin, of Exeter College, Oxford). Contains folding map, dated 1788, fifteen steel engravings and portrait frontis. This is the first edition to contain the Supplement. More rare than the earlier editions. Rebound in three-quarter skiver leather and marbled boards. Very attractive and unworn.
