A silver box with a hinged lid, measuring approx. 5" x 3-1/8" x 3/4"H, with the top and sides engraved with a combination of floral and geometric ornaments, with four birds on the top of the lid around a decorative medallion similar to an oriental carpet, and with a coin applied to the upper right corner of the lid, and with a maker's mark on the underside.
