| 766. A Lot of Three Papier Mache Snuff Boxes
A lot of three papier mache snuff boxes with hinged lids, the first an early 19th Century rectangular box with a scene painted on the lid of hunters and a dog in a landscape, measuring approx. 3" x 2" x 7/8"H. The second is also a 19th Century rectangular box, with the lid in barely detectable tortoise shell and decorated with inlaid metal designs and mother of pearl chips, measuring approx, 3-1/2' x 1-7/8" x 1-1/16"H. The last a small rectangular shaped box with ovoid sides, fitted together with metal bands and with the top decorated by inlaid pieces of metal and incised designs, with a hinged hatch-door lid, measuring approx. 2-3/8"W x 1-5/8"D x 5/8"H. 100/200 Sold $63.25 back to catalog |
