719. Wonderful Mother of Pearl Panel Bar

When closed this piece appears to be a beautiful side cabinet with four black panels with mother of pearl inlay and gold hand painted details. Each panel is a scene with two female figures of mother of pearl in various poses, with fruits and vegetables in the foreground, including peppers, mushrooms and what appear to be lychee fruit. Hand painted gold details include birds in the sky, trees, waves on the water. When opened the top of this piece is two framed wood panels, the central sections in the shape of a star-burst. When the two top sections are opened, they reveal three green marble sections with white veins, including a large rectangle flanked by two squares. When the cabinet is opened, with brass bell shaped pulls which are mounted on flower shaped escutcheons, a bar is revealed. Measures approx. 41" H x 36" W x 18" D when closed and 72" W when open.
