828. Two Carved Ivory Netsukes, Japanese, Late 19th early 20th Century

Two carved ivory/bone figure netsuke with applied pigments. The first one is of a seated warrior with an a scowling face, signed on the bottom, measuring approx. 1-1/4"H. The second one is of a working peasant carrying a stack of hay with a serpent descending from it, next to the man is a wicker basket with a frog ascending to the top. This netsuke measures approx. 1-1/2"T.
