414. Louis Armstrong Signed Letter

Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong ALS (Autograph letter signed)

Personal letter to Lillian Tookman (Decca Publicist) thanking her for all her "fine write ups" of his Decca Records. The letter is composed in his signature "jazzy style" and reads, in parts: "I think it's very white of you, to be so kind...Yass they will...Regards to my Man Milt, and the rest of the Decca Cats." The letter, written by Armstrong, is composed on the back of his "Lose Weight the Satchmo Way" diet menu. The letter is dated Jan. 19, 1959/ Stockholm Sweden. Louis was on his 1959 European tour with his "All Stars." Armstrong signs the letter "Swiss Krissly"/Louis Armstrong/Satchmo. He also stamps it with his favored "green ink" stamp.
