A lovely atmospheric scene that features a few houses next to a small body of water. The sky is misty blue and brush strokes are loose. On the verso is a label from the Bonfoey Company.

Oil on masonite, artist's name incised into wet pigment at the lower right corner, framed in a wide gilt frame, the masonite board size measuring approx. 27" x 40", and with the framing overall approx. 31-1/2" x 45". The title of the piece is written on verso in pencil and there is a label affixed to the back from the Exhibition of Contemporary American Art New York World's Fair 1939. There is also a Cleveland Museum of Art Registrar's tag #TR6077/204.

This group consists of: a bowl with a grey exterior and orange interior drizzled with multicolored pigments and raised clear yellow enamel bumps, bottom signed "Winter,; measures approx. 1-3/4"T x 6-1/4" in diameter; a deep turquoise enamel square dish with white splash detail around the perimeter, signed "Winter," measures approx. 4" in diameter, please note there are losses to enamel on bottom and bruising on the interior; and ashtray with a butterfly design, signed "Winter" measures approx. 5" in diameter; an oblong dish with brown enameled exterior and interior decorated with raised enamel in shades of ochre, signed "Winter," measures approx. 5-1/2" x 3-1/2", and three cranberry red ashtrays, two of them signed "Winter", one decorated with white and black enamel drippings and dedication "Kirkwood Marie C.M.A." bottom signed "1948 Greetings Thelma and Ed Winter." All three measure approx. 4" in diameter.

This group consists of four enameled dishes, three of them by a Cleveland School enamel artist and author Ed Winter. The pieces are: a rectangular ashtray with an ochre and brown interior and dark beige exterior, signed "Winter," measures approx. 5" x 6-1/2" x 1" tall; a large deep bowl with floral design interior in shades of purple and pink, and periwinkle blue exterior, impressed signature "Winter," measures approx. 9"D and 2"T; a small dish with a white flower design over golden tone background, signed "Winter," measures approx. 5"W; and a medium size dish with interior decorated with crumbs accented floral motif over gold ground, base signed illegibly, dated 1964; measures approx. 6-3/4" in diameter.

Ex. Coll. Earl Neff, Cleveland, Ohio. There is a hand-witten notes by Mr. Neff that is affixed to the back of the frame.
