The door has an antiqued brass knob and a newer synthetic tassel. The interior of the cabinet has one shelf. The cabinet stands on tapered legs terminating in brass. ca. 1900. An Early 20th Century Decorative Side Chair An early 20th Century decorative side chair in a Provincial style that is a marriage of ornaments from several sources, made by a Grand Rapids Michigan maker (Century), in a dark wood with turned legs, scroll-cut stretchers, carved surfaces with arches and turned finials in the open back, the side rails terminating in carved lions holding cartouches and the top rail depicting a Thai prince killing a dragon with a castle in the distance. Part of the woods are painted in polychrome. The seat of the chair is upholstered with a dark brown leather surrounded by nailhead trim. 1151. An Elegant Set of Nesting Tables These nesting table feature stepped, quarter-matched burlwood veneer inset tabletops. The larger table has fluted tapered legs with baluster and block elements, undulating friezes and an H-shape stretcher. The nesting tables feature the same friezes, C-scroll legs and X-shape stretchers. The nesting tables slide in tracs under the large table for easy mobility (although the trio is rather heavy).
