480. A Terracotta Sculpture of a Hunter on His Horse
A handsome terracotta sculpture of a hunter atop his horse; behind him on the saddle are some game. The man is dressed in an elaborate outfit with a flowing head covering. The horse is also finely fitted, and the reins that are now gone were probably of metal or leather. The man and the horse both sport a very majestic demeanor and stand on an ovoid mound base. Overall the statue measures approx. 25"H x 18"W x 9"D.

A terracotta bust on a tapered pedestal of an exotic young woman wearing a turban, painted in gilt and polychrome pigments, measuring approx. 19"H x 11"W x 8"D. The pedestal is incised with the artist's name on one side and impressed and painted markings on the back of the pedestal. (Please see the detail photographs).

"The Women of Bosque Redondo". Bronze sculpture, ed. 22/45, ca. 1996, measuring approx. 23" x 21" x 18", with a custom made wooden base with swivel mechanism inside, and with a brass nameplate on the side edge. The artist's name, the date, and the edition number are incised into the mound base of the bronze at the back. The bronze is finished with a muted polychrome palette.
