"After The Pose". Oil on canvas, signed and dated '85 in the lower right corner, framed in a multi-layered gilt frame, the canvas size approx. 43" x 24", and with the framing overall approx. 50" x 31". This is a gorgeous example of De Scott Evan's capabilities; the rendering of the sheen of the fabrics, the beautiful model, and the narrative suggested in the composition all combined in an exceptional work. The inner portions of the frame are original, and the outer frame is a new addition. There is a hand-lettered label on the back of the stretchers.

A lady in reverie. Oil on a plywood panel, signed in the lower right corner, framed in a 1-1/8" wide gilt liner only with no outer frame, the panel size measuring approx. 14" x 12", and with the liner approx. 16" x 14-1/8". The pretty woman wears a contemplative smile, a matador's ornately decorated jacket with a ruffled blouse and a green tie. Her skirt is made of black Spanish lace over green. The background is plain, but to her right sits a silver jug on a table with some other objects, possibly castanets, including a red rectangular object with the initials V-R inscribed on the side.

"Summer Afternoon". Oil on canvas on board, framed in a pretty multiple period frame with a sand finished gilt liner, a wood liner with floral details inscribed and a cast ornament gilt liner with an oakleaf and acorn motif. The painting measures 8" x 10", and with the frame overall 15" x 17". The back is stamped with framing information from a Coral Gables, Florida framer. There are inscriptions on the verso of the board by the artist and by the purchaser gifting it to her sister in 1913. There is also an old sheet of stationary from a Pennsylvania paintings dealer with the same information
