A glazed ceramic covered bowl, in a light grey glossy glaze with two four-claw dragons in relief on the lid glazed in a matte charcoal color. Around the foot of the bowl is a raised image in grey-blue glazes of sea waves. The underside of the bowl bears an aproyphal cobalt blue underglazed 6-character mark of the Kangxi Period; a tribute to an earlier reign. The box measures approx. 5" in diameter x 2"H on a low foot.
