An exceptionally fine automaton/clock, the oval clock set in the front of a small highly detailed box, fashioned in silver carved with relief designs and sections of pink guilloche enamel with a slightly golden aura. The box measures 4"W x 2-5/8"D x 1-5/8"H, and has canted corners. The face of the clock is in silver and gold with Arabic numerals and is marked "Swiss Made".

A fabulous pair of Baccarat crystal and gilt bronze candelabra, with a classical detal to the metal base, a squared crystal column above which is a metal armature supporting flowing crystal arms at various levels, some connected with swags of crystals chained together, and each arm with a crystal bobeche with dangling crystals. The three arms situated at the front of the piece have crystal candle holders and the two arms at the back have crystal finials. The stem above the armature is faceted crystal surmounted by a bobeche with dangles, a faceted cup and a 1/2 urn shaped crystal finial. These pieces are made to sit on a mantel and be seen from one side only. Overall they stand approx. 31"H and the arms spread approx. 20" at the width. Many of the parts are numbered so the pieces can be disassembled and reassembled in the same order with the intended fit.

A parlor suite of Austrian miniature furniture, ca. 1850-1910, fashioned it gilt metal and enamel on insets with minute romantic pastoral scenes with courting couples and Cupids. Each piece is stamped "Austria" on the underside. The set consists of a settee, 2-7/8"H x 3"W, a pair of armless chairs, 2-5/8"H x 1-1/4", a rectangular table, 3-1/8" x 2-3/8" x 2-1/8"H, and a secretary, 5-1/4"H x 3-1/2"W x 1-7/8"D. The center drawers on the table and the secretary pull out.

A fabulous carved crystal goblet or chalice, with the lip, body and base encased and embellished with ornate metalwork now in a worn silver color metal finish, and studded with small baroque seed pearls and faceted square cut emeralds set in bezels. The faceted sides of the goblet are etched with a scenic representation of a forest in which a noble hunting dog stands guard over a fallen hare. The stem and knop are also faceted, and the lobbed base is clad in metal and jewels. Overall the goblet measures 5-1/2"H and 2-1/2" in diameter at the lip.

A fabulous French sculptural gilt bronze tazza, with a copper insert in the bowl and a cast relief disc with a Bacchanalian scene in the center. The cast bronze bowl that supports the upper portion is decorated with a deep relief of vignettes with hunting dogs and game; the base of this bowl is surrounded by leaves and cattails in relief. The pedestal that supports the bowl is fashioned in the image of three dolphins with intertwined upturned tails on which sit three cherubs in various different poses. The tripod base is surrounded by a seashell motif and each foot is fashioned in the image of a turtle. Overall the piece measures approx. 13-3/4"H, the bowl measures 11-1/2" in diameter. There are the initials "A.D." with a star above stamped into the lip of the bowl.

A antique parasol in forest green silk, with a wooden shaft, celluloid tips, a woven wristlet, and with the handle in red guilloche enamel with incised silver fittings at each end, terminating in a jade ball set with a line of tiny mine-cut diamonds with larger stones bezel set at each end of the line. The metal banding bears the marks of the Russian jeweler, Henrik Wigstrom, who directed the Fabrege workrooms for many years. Overall the parasol measures 23"L.

A hand made tapestry, measuring approx. 79"H x 55-1/2"W, fashioned in wool and silk threads. The pictorial composition is framed by the image of fringed swags and jabots at the top and sides and a forest floor carpeted with flowers below. The scene itself depicts a beautiful woman in classical garb, looking coquettishly over her left shoulder, holding a flower basket over a pedestal. To the left is a receding landscape with the foreground occupied by two putti assembling two wheels together. Beyond is a traditional distant scene with foliage and buildings.

An antique folding screen, in three panels with arched tops, made in canvas stretched over wood, with the front side decorated with an elaborate 18th Century seaside scene with all the charming attributes possible. Fancy ships, figures, buildings, cargo and an anchor on the edge of the shore and a multitude of points of interest populate the scene. The reverse side of the screen is plain with two sections on each panel simply decorated with green striping. Overall the panels each measure 24"W x 67-1/2"H.

Another antique decorative folding screen, with four panels, each measuring 22-3/4"W x 68"H, with arched tops and cut-outs at the bottom for legs, each panel stretched with canvas and painted with various woodland scenes surrounded by foliate borders in the manner of the 18th Century. The back of the panels each have three sections that have blue-green foliate designs in their centers. The edges of the panels are finished with large rounded nailhead trim.

The carved ivory handle is in the shape of a stylized man, slightly crouching with his arms tucked into his side; the straight blade with many embellishments at the end of the blade; the carved wooden hilt is covered in parts with embossed sheets of white metal and wrapped wire, as well as an attached ornament with six decorative chains. Overall it measures approx. 18"L and the blade measures approx. 14"L. The Keris is the distinctive edged weapon of the Malay World. The origin of the word is from the Malay verb "iris", to cut. It origin in the island of Java. It is associated with special power due to its blade pattern welding (pamor) and shape (dapur).

Fine walnut rifle with brass and ivory inlay, marked in design with initials "A.P.S.". Round bore with scope and muzzle, small compartment for balls, all of which are ornately inlaid. A small piece of iron pyrite, is held tightly in the "dog" clamp, on a spring-loaded arm on the outside of the lock plate. Mechanism includes the pan, wheel and trigger. Approx. 42-1/4"L. Making sparks like a modern cigarette lighter, the wheel-lock was the first of the spark-producing, self-igniting systems for firearms. Without a source of live flame, they were very safe, yet because they were so complex, the expense in making them often restricted their use to pistols and guns of high quality. Fine rifles such as this were highly prized by nobility, who owned them in quantity as personal hunting arms or provided them to important guests in large-scale hunts.

Two Katana swords, both with 27" blades, very sharp. The first has a lacquered wood scabbard with brass suspension ring mount, tsuka-ito wrap over shagreen handle covering two bronze and gilt menuki. The Kashina, or end-cap is decorated with running horses as well as the Tsuba. The second sword is really just the blade with scabbard and one mount. The third item is a French ceremonial, or parade piece. It is inscribed on the top of the blade, "Mre d'Ormes de St Etienne Juillet 1874". Sword is apprx 22-1/2", overall with scabbard apprx 28-1/4"L.

A dainty Boulle clad lap desk, the the sides in a glossy black finish and the two hinged lids clad entirely in the fancy metalwork and red tortoise inlay. The smaller lid has a key hole. The larger lid is slanted and curved. The interior has an inset of royal blue velvet and the interior of the top part which once contained writing supplies is veneered in a nicely patterned birdseye wood. There is a storage compartment below which is veneered in burl as well. The underside is covered with a textured green paper. Overall it measures 10-7/8"W x 9-1/4"D x 4"H at the back and 2-1/4"H at the front.

A delicate pillbox with a hinged lid, made in gilt over silver, with a bone inset in the top and a silver metal crown ornament with four rhinestones. The box is oval and measures 7/8" x 1-1/2" x 5/8"H. It has a fancy relief pattern on the sides and underside, and is stamped "Made In Italy" on the underside of the lid. It has the stamped numerals 4 5 on the inside front.
