617. An Early 20th Century Cloisonne Dragon

An early 20th Century Chinese cloisonne dragon/lion, possibly used originally as a censer, with a removable head, with most of the outer surface covered with polychrome cloisonne work, and with other exposed metals having been finished with gilt, now worn off. The tongue of the fierce looking beastie is hinged so it moves up and down. Overall the piece measures approx. 8-1/2"H x 8-1/2"W x 3-1/2"W.
